Encyclopedia of Earth: Climate Change
Includes information from the Climate, Adaptation, Mitigation, E-Learning (CAMEL) project from the Council of Environmental Deans and Directors (CEDD) of the National Council for Science and the Environment and is supported by the National Science Foundation.
- Global Climate Change: NASA's Eyes on the Earth
Global Climate Change is a multimedia Web site featuring photographs, movies, animations, interactive graphics,
and other presentations of NASA's research into climate change.
- Global Climate Change Impacts
in the United States
Produced by the United States Global Change Research Program in 2009, the report focuses on climate change impacts in
different regions of the U.S. and on various aspects of society and the economy such as energy, water, agriculture, and
health.
- Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is the leading international body for the assessment of climate
change. It was established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization
(WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge in climate change and its
potential environmental and socio-economic impacts.
Most IPCC Reports published since 1997 are available online. Of special interest are the IPCC's Assessment Reports,
which are published at regular intervals. Four Assessment Reports have been completed -- in 1990, 1995, 2001 and 2007.
The Fourth Assessment Report,
"Climate Change 2007", is composed of 4 volumes and is available online. The Fifth Assessment is underway.

- Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center
The Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) is the primary climate-change data and information analysis center of the U.S. Department of Energy. Its holdings include records of the atmospheric concentrations of carbon dioxide and other radiatively active gases, and emissions of carbon dioxide from fossil-fuel consumption and land-use changes.
- Climate Analysis Indicators Tool
Developed by the World Resources Institute, this is a comprehensive and comparable database of greenhouse gas emissions data (including all major sources and sinks) and other climate-relevant indicators.
- EarthTrends: Environmental Information
EarthTrends is a major initiative of the World
Resources Institute. A searchable database offers time series data from internationally recognized sources for over 600 variables. The site also offers data tables in 10 topic areas, country profiles, maps, and feature stories.
- Global Change Master Directory
NASA's Global Change Master Directory (GCMD) holds more than 25,000 Earth science data set and service descriptions, which cover subject areas within the Earth and environmental sciences. The project mission is to assist researchers, policy makers, and the public in the discovery of and access to data, related services, and ancillary information (which includes descriptions of instruments and platforms) relevant to global change and Earth science research.

Gas Bulletin
Published annually by the Atmospheric Environment and Research Division of the World Meteorological Organization, these
bulletins report the latest trends and atmospheric burdens of the most influential, long-lived greenhouse gases: carbon
dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O), as well as a summary of the contributions of the lesser gases.
- NOAA Climate Services Portal
The ultimate goal for the portal is to become the "go-to" website for NOAA's climate data, products, and services. It
initially focuses on several datasets and products from NOAA's National Climatic Data Center, Coastal Services Center, and
Climate Prediction Center, among others. The initial intent is to highlight some of most popular datasets and products.

The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) is the world's largest active archive of weather data. Its mission is to
provide access and stewardship to the Nation's resource of global climate and weather related data and information, and
assess and monitor climate variation and change.
