  Encyclopedic information on a variety of animals
• Animal Info 
  This site focuses on rare and endangered mammals. It includes a glossary, fact sheets for U.S. mammals, and links to animal organizations.
• Audubon Society's Online Guide to North American Birds
  This online guide to North American Birds features 750 species of birds in 22 Orders and 74 families. The guide covers all of North America's regular breeding birds-approximately 580 species - as well as ana additional 180 or so nonbreeding species that regulary or occasionally visit North America north of Mexico.
• Avibase: The World's Bird Database

  The Freshwater and Marine Image Bank is an ongoing digital collection of images, including early illustrations, related to freshwater and marine topics, in all their diversity. It includes images of fish, shellfish, and marine mammals, pictures of fish hatcheries and dams and vessels, materials related to polar exploration, regional and traditional fisheries, and limnological (freshwater) subjects. Its scope is global. The images were researched and scanned by the staff of the Fisheries-Oceanography Library of the University of Washington.

• Salmon Collection
